Can we  rent our own vendors?

While we have a preferred list of vendors, we leave the choice to you. We have partnered with                                              a caterer.

How many guests can the venue accommodate?

200 guest inside but can add an additional 50 outside for a flowing reception

 

Are pets allowed?

Pets are allowed for the ceremony and photos. All pets must be kept on a leash and have an attendant during the time they are on the property.

Unfortunately we do not allow pets in the venue.

 

Is the site handicap accessible?

Yes Southwind Acres is ADA compliant

 

Can we bring our own beer, wine and liquor?

Alcohol is allowed at the venue. We do require you to use Southwind Acres bartenders for alcohol

 

Is there a deposit to secure our date?

Yes, we do require a non-refundable deposit of $500 ( that goes towards the price of the venue) and a signed contract to secure your date.

 

What forms of payment are accepted?

We do accept cash, checks, Venmo  and Zelle.

 

When do we have to be cleaned up and what are the cleaning requirements?

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday all items brought in the venue must be cleaned up by 11:00 pm. 

 

Do you provide tables, chairs and linens?

Yes we do. We have white wedding chairs with padded seats, round and farmstyle tables with enough seating for 200 guest and linens that

range from $0. to $15.00 per table depending on your preference.

 

Is there on site parking?

Yes we have parking at the venue and overflow parking at the entrance. We provide a site shuttle that will bring you from the overflow 

parking area down to the venue.

 

Are there overnight accommodations nearby?

We have done all the leg work and have several recommended VRBO and Air B&B’s less than 2 miles away. Please contact us about getting this information

 

Can vehicles be left overnight?

The gates to the venue will be locked but you are more than welcome to leave your car in the overflow parking area. As a matter of, we encourage 

those that feel unable to drive to do so as we are very concerned about everyone’s safety.

 

Are candles allowed?

No. The only kind of candles allowed at Southwind Acres are the battery operated flameless candles.

 

Can we have fireworks/sparklers at the venue?

No, the only kind of open flame allowed at the venue is the sterno burners under the food. Since we have team members staying with you during your

event, they keep a close eye on the flames. We are surrounded by woods and any kind of fireworks or sparklers could easier start a forest fire.

Will Southwind Acres handle the catering orders for these caterers, or do I work with the caterer directly?

You work directly with them. Southwind Acres does NOT to make a commission because we want your food options to be as elegant or affordable

as your budget allows.
